Doctor can check: Many things are in the upper abdomen: stomach, pancreas, liver, small intestine, bile ducts, large intestine, abdominal muscles, etc... Exam by a primary care doctor can help figure things out, if symptoms are more than just mild. Pain in the upper abdomen, especially symptoms after eating, can be due to stomach acid reflux, liver or bile duct problems, pancreatitis, stomach inflammation, etc...
