Hi there, im starting using zoely after not using any hormonal contraceptive. my period ended around 3 days ago, can i start taking the first active tablet or do i need to wait until my next period before i can begin? thank you.

Can use condoms: A person can use condoms while waiting for the first day of her upcoming period, if she wants to start using oral birth control pills. (It is usually also ok to start pills at other times, but protection is not as reliable, so the rule is to add condoms during the first pack of pills.) Also, if no withdrawal period occurs at the end of a pill pack, she can do a home pregnancy test.
