PMS/abdominal pain: At 44, increased estrogen production accentuates the symptoms similar to premenstrual times: a large drop in estrogen levels will cause PMS, and increased progesterone will cause breast pain. Ask your gyn physician about low dose oral bcp's, which will stop ovarian estrogen/progesterone production, lighten menstrual flow, and can be taken until actual menopause.
