Hi, i have taken the opportunity to ask a general question. i hope this is ok and in spirit. what is the likelihood of lung cancer not showing on ct after 4 years of fatigue/myalgia symptoms. i have smoking history but quit 5 years ago.thank you

Low: I think you are asking about the sensitivity of a CT scan picking up a lung cancer if it is present. CT is very sensitive to the pick up of lung cancer so if a CT scan does not show a mass in the lung than it is pretty unlikely that there is a cancer present in the lung. Not 100% but again pretty close.
