Hi my bf had a small lump behind his ear start to bother him yesterday. last night and it was definitly swollen but white not red. thought it might have been an insect or spider bite. now it woke him up with a sharp pain and is expanding?

Have him evaluated: Whatever the actual cause it sounds like the site is infected & will require specific treatment. A warm compress may increase blood flow & permit a natural body response that promotes healing but I doubt it would be enough.
