See your doctor: A new throat growth is definitely concerning. You should see your doctor (and eventually an ENT - otolaryngologist) so he can perform a complete history and examination on you. It may be your regular anatomy, an infection, or a cancer. This is something you don't want to ignore.

Throat growth: A throat growth needs a good pair of experienced eyeballs to examine the growth and determine if a biopsy is needed. Don't put off seeing your doctor, who may refer you to an ear nose and throat doctor or oral surgeon for a possible biopsy.
