That's not good: Usually, teens can have irregular periods (such as skipping periods due to not ovulating). In each of her last 3 annual check-ups, she would have discussed her periods (important to do) and her doctor would have follow-up up on recurring bimonthly vaginal bleeding of with 8-day periods (that is a lot of bleeding). But, it's not too late, so it is time to call her doctor for an appointment.
