I first got my period when i was 12, im 17 now. since the age of 14 ive been getting bff my period every 14 days without fail, and its starting to worry me as they tend to last for 8 days and are usually very heavy.

That's not good: Usually, teens can have irregular periods (such as skipping periods due to not ovulating). In each of her last 3 annual check-ups, she would have discussed her periods (important to do) and her doctor would have follow-up up on recurring bimonthly vaginal bleeding of with 8-day periods (that is a lot of bleeding). But, it's not too late, so it is time to call her doctor for an appointment.
