I have randomly been getting sharp pains in the middle of my chest and when i breath,the pain worsens.

Doctor can evaluate: Chest tightness or chest pain in a teen can be due to minor problems or to very serious ones. His doctor can check to see what might be going on. Sometimes, tests and chest x-rays may be done. Possible causes include a rib and cartilage pain, partial pneumothorax (collapsed lung), pleuritis, asthma, stomach acid reflux, heart problems, other viral infections, etc...
