Review : A virtual inbox consultation with an uploaded photo may be scheduled with Healthtap. The baby may have infant acne. No soap or lotion is suggested on the face. Hormonal changes cause this problem and it sel resolves usually with time.

Pediatrician helps: A new baby can get some "normal" rashes that are common and self-resolve, and also get some abnormal rashes that need medical attention and treatment. Rashes are hard to describe or visualize with words. His pediatrician sees rashes in his practice every week, and is very experienced with baby rashes. An in-person exam is usually needed. His doctor may refer to a dermatologist (but rarely needed).
