Isotretinoin: According to guidelines for use of the medication a pregnancy test is recommended one month after the discontinuation of the drug. The drug has a half life of 10 to 20 hours. As such the medication can stay in your system for awhile. However, this is not more than a month. So if your pregnancy test is negative one month after stopping the medication and you take no more you should be OK.
