A member asked:

Is it best that i stay to bed with a cold?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Keep well rested: Getting well rested does not mean having to stay in bed. Staying in bed too long makes a body weaker. If one truly has gotten a cold virus, it will have to run its course. Some people take extra vitamin C (may upset the stomach) and some take extra zinc (most lozenges have lots of sugar), but how much these things help is uncertain. Avoiding overexertion. For example, don't run a 5k race when ill.
