A member asked:

Can sertraline cause an increase in saliva and sweat? can it also cause chills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ask prescribing Dr.: Doctors don't blame new symptoms on medication effects without looking at a patient's whole picture to see what else might be causing symptoms other than one's medications. Shivering and increased sweating are listed as effects seen in people using sertraline, but increased salivation is not listed. The opposite, dry mouth, is listed. Thus, a talk with one's primary care doctor can help.
