A member asked:

Can itching be the only symptom of lymphoma? i've had on and off itching since the end of sept. mostly on upper back and arms. where i itch light pink spots are but go away. not bug bites. no other symptoms.

Work with the doctor: Many things are possible in life. Itching is one of those vague symptoms that's probably listed under hundreds of illnesses. Itching can be due to allergies to something (a doctor's exam, blood tests, or skin tests can help figure out what) and usually there is some rash. Other causes of itching can be liver disease, kidney disease, or other internal problems. Certain drugs can also cause itching.
