Cervicitis: One of the reasons for that spotting is cervicitis. The cervix of the uterus is inflamed and/or infected, this is a treatable condition that needs attention. I recommend you to visit your gynecologist

Short "period" ?'s: Depending on if ovulation occurred on or about the dates mentioned, the "one day of spotting" may represent implantation. If your menstrual cycle does not occur in a week to 10 days, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. If negative, see your gyn physician for an exam and testing.
