Tonsil stones: Gargling with warm salt water or other washes may or may not dislodge tonsillar stones. I don't recommend it, but scraping with a cotton swab or your finger may remove a small tonsillar stone if you can reach it. If you do this you must gargle immediately afterwards. For larger stones or if inflammation, consult an Otolaryngologist.
