Back pain: Your back pain had a mechanical onset and is mechanically worse. Therefore there is a good chance it is not related to a kidney problem. It worse when your breath probably because the breathing movements cause irritation to the muscle. You should start with your general doctor , who may send you to physical therapy or chiropractic care. Nurofen (ibuprofen) has side effects and benefits
