Pain: Pain during sex is dyspareunia. Common causes include the following: provoked vulvodynia, inadequate lubrication, postpartum dispareunia, and vaginal atrophy. Vaginismus which is contraction of pelvic wall muscles can be a problem too. Pelvic infection or cervical infection or endometriosis possible too. If a regular problem you should be seen be a provider.
