If not pregnant,: as you state, irregular ovulation and ovarian cysts, can be the cause. If pain worsens, see your doctor or urgent care. If cycles continue to be irregular, see your doctor for evaluation of possible polycystic ovarian syndrome, or other hormonal issues.
