Interesting question: The hymen is a usually thin membrane in most virginal women and will tear during penetrating sex (with some discomfort) in most cases, Some have a thickened hymen that will not break easily. A gynecologist can perform a procedure that opens the hymen surgically using a local anesthetic. If you are ready for this it will require you get evaluated for this procedure.
