Many possibilities: This could be as simple as a reaction to dust/fumes/irritants or an illness. If it is one of many upper airway viruses, like RSV it can cause major difficulty at that age requiring hospital based care. If the kid is having enough difficulty that they are off their feeds or having difficulty drinking have the kid seen.
