No: Pectus excavatum (breastbone goes inward) or pectus carinatum (breastbone goes outward) happen to many people in varying degrees. It takes one's childhood years to develop, and does not happen in a short timeframe. One's primary care doctor can examine any chestwall concern's to see what might be the problem.

Chest wall: It is possible not to have any symptoms, but chest wall development is ongoing as the chest wall grows.
