Mood swings ?'s: If your cycles have previously been regular (24-23 days apart), and pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. Low levels of pregnancy hormone are not detected by "home pregnancy tests", and ectopic pregnancy may be the cause. " " Mood swings" can occur with fluctuation of estrogen production. See your gyn physician if the test is positive.

If 2 periods 1 month: A woman with 28-day cycles (or shorter) will occasionally have 2 periods in one month, such as a period beginning May 1 and another beginning May 29. That might happen once a year, because the woman would have about 13 cycles in one year. With 13 cycles in a 12-month year, one month must have 2 periods.
