Doctor can examine: Anybody who has a urinary tract (kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, +/- penis) can have a urinary tract infection (UTI). A young man is much less likely than a young woman to get a UTI. So, a male with possible UTI symptoms needs to see his doctor. Lab test may be needed. Also, there are some less common medical disorders that cause UTI symptoms but are not infections.
