Hi all my sense of smell altered after 7 months from infect with flue when i smell something its smell not be as its normal smell but convert to something different like smell of garlic or banana can this case gone from its own ??

Loss of smell: It isn't unusual to lose your sense of smell after a heavy upper respiratory tract infection but it is recovered rather quickly. However in some cases it may take months or longer. Appearance of distorted smell may indicate gradual recovery of normal sense of smell eventually.
