A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tests are accurate: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. At age 49, one can see her Ob-Gyn to make sure it is not a false positive that might be a sign of a disease in a middle-aged woman.
