Routine exercises: Do the old standards--people got in shape long before they felt the need to pay a gym for the privilege. Walk up and down the stairs (carrying water jugs--a gallons of water is 8 pounds ), push-ups, sit-ups/crunches, yoga, head/handstands, fitness balls, jumping jacks, running in place, curls with water jugs. Use your imagination and be resourceful!
