A member asked:

Im a 29 year and last had a child 10 years ago and now ready to have another baby. i just need clarity on ovulation, should sex be before or after ovulation and can one ovulate twice a month?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Basics: Ovulation usually occurs mid-cycle but there are ovulation predictors available that may help. The egg enters the Fallopian tube over the first day or two where it needs to encounter sperm to initiate pregnancy. The sperm can survive about 4 days, so they can be placed before or just after egg release. Sex 2X/d over the peak fertility time increases success rate. Ovulation once/mo is expected
