A member asked:

How might you have three small holes in the heart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can happen not often: There are two main types of holes in the heart which you are born with. Atrial septal defect (ASD) and ventricular septal defects (vsd). There are multiple subsets of each. You can have more than one at the same time. Also a type of ASD called secundum can have multiple holes, too. Then there are acquired types from heart attacks and these could form in someone who already had a congenital one.
