Question vague, but: Chest pain in a guy in his mid-30's can be an emergency, depending on various details. Often, the ER doctor needs to evaluate. The ambulance can provide oxygen and monitoring on the way to the ER. The doctors will rule out asthma, heart attack, pneumothorax (collapsed lung), etc. If it turns out to be rib cartilage pains (costochondritis) or heartburn (gastric reflux), that can be treated too.
