Depend on the big...: The big picture... lab results have little meaning unless a doctor sees the whole picture of what's going on with his patient. If a patient's result is out of range, the ordering doctor may or may not consider the result a problem, depending on the patient's previous results, her symptoms, and her medications, etc... A repeat test may tell whether or not there is a problem, and if yes, a reason.
