An E.R. situation...: Chest pressure, chest pain, and slowed heart rate in a middle-age adult are signs to go to the ER. Possible causes include heart attack or heart block. One should not drive himself (ambulance is safer). If it turns out not to be myocarditis or heart block symptoms, the ER will also have evaluated for chest problems such as a collapsed lung or pneumonia. X-rays, EKG, and labs can be done at the ER.
