Some basics: A 6 mo kid can be managed at home when they wet a diaper every 6 hrs, take fluids/feeds well, play occasionally & otherwise follow their routine. If you get spooked for any reason go in. Applesauce, fresh bananas & rice cereal seem to act as natural plugs that slow the loose stools.
