Sinus infection: fever, chills, foul smelling nasal discharge, severe facial pain and pressure. OTC therapy would include 1- nasal saline ( NaSal) lavage or neti pit, Flonase or Nasacort, Tylenol ( if not allergic) and only 3 days of a 12 hr nasal decongestant ( Afrin, Dristan or generics) if not hypertensive.
