Wound care: If there is a minor laceration on the forehead which does not require sutures, please use a topical antibiotic ointment. The wound should be cleaned and dried before applying the ointment. Watch for signs of swelling, pus and redness around the wound. The lip laceration should be evaluated by your pediatrician. Avoid foods with jagged edges and use a soft diet for a few days.
