A member asked:

Does high cholesterol cause cognitive issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eventually...: Having high cholesterol (elevated bad cholesterol) eventually leads to arterial narrowing or blockage. That means decreased blood flow to the brain. When the brain gets decreased blood flow, all the bad things that you can imagine happening to the brain will indeed start to happen. That includes lowered cognitive functioning. Keep those arteries clear!
