Bite: This may be an insect bite with a tiny blood clot at the bite site. Spreading redness could indicate secondary infection and a need for antibiotics. Antihistamine medication can be used for itching. It's best to have a physician examine him for diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime apply an antibacterial ointment.
