Vague pattern: Many sore throats are triggered by viruses. As they move through their process they often eventually have a skin rash after a few days. Strep occasionally follows a similar timeline but the rash is flat, salmon colored & feels like sandpaper. Strep rash often spares the area around the mouth making it look pale. An exam would be needed to assess the process.
