INMMUNOGLOBULINS: The antibodies your body produces to fight infections are called immunoglobulins (Ig) there are main types, IgM, IgE, IgG, IgD. The IgG refers to antibodies that are produced after an infection is controlled or already passed. This means your body already have antibodies prepared and circulating in your blood ready for the next time you encounter a Borrelia (the Bacteria causing Lyme disease).
