"hot flashes" ?'s: If you are actually "21" and not "48", "hot flashes" may occur just pre-ovulatory or pre-menstrual, when estrogen levels fall rapidly. Sometimes two eggs are stimulated to ovulate, and the drop at both times mentioned are more pronounced, hence symptoms which usually occur at pre-menopausal times are duplicated.
