NSAID Mix dangerous: Three main types of NSAID. These include salicylates (ASpirin), traditional NSAIDs (such as Advil), & COX 2 inhibitors (Celebrex) .Risk of severe drug reactions causing injury to the liver and acute renal failure was 6 to 7 times higher in reported cases of simultaneous use of two NSAIDs. A 2017 study found that among older adults taking NSAIDs, inappropriate use was detected over 70 percent.

No: Being healthy, one need not be overly concerned if s/he has only taken this combination once by mistake. Understand that taking these two medications together may lead to increased risk of bleeding. Seeing blood in the stool (bright red or black, tarry), coughing it up, significant unexplained bruising, or a wound that doesn’t stop bleeding should prompt a doctor call.
