Hi.. i have a 2 year old who struggles with constipation, i changed milk, took her to dr's changed diet but nothing seems to work i even tried duphalac sometimes it work but if you go a day or 2 without it then she gets constipated for days.. help?

Basics: The general rule is you treat constipation in a toddler for at least twice as long as they have struggled with constipation or 6 mo, whichever is less. They often have ballooned their large bowel & it needs time to return to normal size/function before stopping treatment. At that age stopping too soon is the main reason treatment fails.
