Abdominal pain: Abdominal pain of the mid abdomen can be one of the first signs of an appendicitis. Other possibilities would include enertits, diverticulitis, urinary problems such as pylonephritis or kidney stone. Sometimes pain from stomach, gallbladder or liver can refer to the area. Even back problems can refer to mid abdomen.
