Hepatitis B: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections usually is cleared by the immune system; a minority develop ongoing infection and only some of these are "deadly". A blood test can tell if you were infected or not. Also, all people are supposed to be vaccinated against HBV, and in the US most people your age (26) were vaccinated. The same blood test can tell if you got the vaccine. Discuss with your doctor.
