A member asked:

Light pink vaginal fluids (salmon color). enough to cover liner. smells extremely nasty/foul. happens after intercourse. should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding after sex: Light bleeding after intercourse may be secondary to irritation of the cervix, which can be inflamed and bleed easily. The odor may be caused by a vaginal infection, so see your gyn physician for an exam and culture. The cervical inflammation can be easily treated with cautery (cold or hot).
