Fertility ?'s: Failure to become pregnant within a year of having "unprotected intercourse" should first include a semen analysis to determine male factor issues. If that evaluation is normal and periods are regular (24-32 days apart), your gyn physician may order a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to determine if your tubes are open, lack of which is the leading cause for infertility.
