A member asked:

I have pain in my sternum ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sternal pain: Pain in the sternum can be caused by injury, strain, or inflammation of joints where ribs attach. Pain is aggravated by cough, deep breath, chest movement and there may be tenderness. Treatment would be avoiding strain, and taking anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxen. See your MD as needed.
