Patience: Totally breast fed babies can have small runny mucus stools as often as every feed or a big one once a week. If the kid is otherwise feeding well, filing out & interactive I would consider it normal. If it really spooks you have him seen.

I have an 11 day old infant who screams and tilts her body as if she is being prodded by something in her abdomen. She will breastfeed for a minutes and starts screaming from gas, and constipation. I have been using breastmilk and formula to feed.
