Distension: Mostly gas build-up would explain the distension of your abdomen after eating. Intestinal obstruction is unlikely as you can pass stools. Inflammatory bowel disease would have more symptoms. It's worthwhile to be examined and advised by a gastroenterologist. Appropriate tests will be ordered and you will be checked for a hernia.
