"Spotting" ?'s : Any bleeding while pregnant should be investigated as to cause by your OB physician. You did not mention how many weeks pregnant, but if between 7 and 9 weeks pregnant, it may be caused by deficient progesterone production from the placenta. See your OB physician for an evaluation, and supplemental progesterone may be added to protect the pregnancy.
