Prenatal visit: An 8 week pregnant woman is advised to have her first prenatal visit scheduled immediately. At that time a transvaginal ultrasound will demonstrate, whether the baby has a heart beat and measures according to dates. Spotting as such in early pregnancy can be difficult to interpret.
